Dynamic Adithi Rajkumar (the owner of Scribe Photography, and winner of Retail Capital’s R250 000 “business makeover”) started out advertising her services on Gumtree, but now she has a power-packed business marketing team at her disposal.

u|Chief enjoyed the opportunity to chat to Adithi about her business and discovered the lengths she is willing to go for her clients, including being there to bail them out of jail (if needed!).

“It’s persistence, persistence, persistence… never forgetting what you want to achieve, and keep your goals realistic,” is Adithi’s key advice to other SME owners. “The first step starts with you… change begins in your heart,” she added on a more philosophical note.

Durban-based Adithi enjoyed an intimate lunch at La Petite Colombe in Franschhoek with the Retail Capital team who will be working with her in the coming months to assist with Scribe Photography’s business makeover.

Adithi’s prize includes a cash component to the value of R50 000 to assist her in boosting her business, along with the opportunity to consult with Retail Capital’s team of experts who will help her to develop a solid business plan for her future growth, compose a new marketing strategy, as well as offering any assistance she requires in terms of design and branding. Adithi will also have at her disposal expert assistance with developing her website and implementing a cutting-edge social media strategy to help promote her services.
