“Because of social and digital media and the transparency that exists today, we should imagine that our brands, our organisations and our internal culture is transparent to the outside world, and that people can see exactly what’s going on and based on that they are going to choose whether they want to be involved as a client, as a customer as a partner or investor,” says Louise Mowbray of Mowbray Design.
“In the old days we used to think of our stakeholders as our investors or boards, but today we are saying, ‘what about the environment, and what about society at large? We have to understand the impact we are having on all those other elements.”
